This entire space—every word, every image (unless stated otherwise), every carefully curated detail—was created by me.

From the recipes to the photography, the content to the strategy, the website design to the way the light hits the food on the plate—this is all my hands, my vision, my labor. Built on a shoestring budget, fueled by resourcefulness, intuition, and relentless creativity.

And all of it—every pixel, every idea—was crafted while being a 24/7 single mother. As I sit here with my daughter sleeping on my chest and my laptop at my side.

I built Makena Wild between nap times (the few and far) and midnight edits, between toddler giggles and moments of exhaustion, between cooking meals for my daughter and dreaming up something bigger than just survival.

What Makena Wild Stands For

This is not just a website.
It’s a living archive of nourishment, artistry, and intentional living. It’s a rebellion against the idea that creativity requires immense privilege. While I have had immense privledge to travel and educate myself, my strength was crafted from overcoming some extreme battles that most people would not assume. These moment pushed me to remain faithful, with trust, and to become the greatest version of myself (when the cards were against me).

This is my space where beauty, sustainability, and soulful strategy merge into something tangible. To showcase more of who I am and what I have become.

It’s proof that you don’t need unlimited funding, a creative team, or a perfect timeline to birth something beautiful.

You just need devotion. Faith. And a muse (my daughter).
